The biggest organ that we have is our skin, which responds to a variety of stimuli but when the skin is exposed to radio frequency (monopolar and bipolar) it penetrates past the dermal layer and into the sub dermal layer heating it up to 50 – 60 C. The skin thus contracts and vibrates, causing pores to close and to become smaller.
This leads to tighter skin, not just because the pores are closed, but because the skin contracts in response to the heat. That is how skin tightening radio frequency works. Instead of prodding the skin, vibrations and heat are used to influence the skin and cause it to react in a certain way. If the radio frequency skin tightening treatment is kept at a regular interval, the desired effects can be maintained over time.
How Does it Work?
Instead of using substances and other invasive techniques, a radio frequency procedure affects the primary layers of the skin, causing them to react to energy that the waves create. Since this is a kinetic influence, the waves create heat for radio frequency skin treatments. This heat is different, because it is introduced in low frequency waves that do not directly burn the outer layer of the skin.
Instead of targeting internal portions of the body, this technology can be used on the surface of the treatment area in order to improve the overall appearance of our largest organ: “The Skin”.
For the body we use a specific treatment head which we call the Sixpolar Head. It has 6 different probes which all produce Monopolar and Bipolar Radio Frequency as well as a vacuum and infrared light therapy evenly throughout the treated area from the six probes.
How many treatments are needed?
To fully treat the area you may require 4-6 treatments at custom designed intervals. A regular treatment regime is important to maintain to achieve and maintain the results.
